The unprecedented circumstances created by the COVID-19 pandemic have led to the postponement of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games. The Japan-U.S. Friendship Commission – JUSFC and the National Endowment for the Arts remain committed to the U.S.-Japan Creative Artists Fellowship Program NichiBei Artists collaboration. Our U.S.-Japan artistic pairs are working together during this crisis, and are looking forward to presenting their work at the time of the rescheduled Games, beginning July 23, 2021. We will continue to share news and behind-the-scenes information about these collaborations during the course of the next 15 months.
